California Dreamin'

Hello world!

Right now I am in a condo in Fort Bragg, California. So much has happened  since the last post.

I'll save you the details but basically, we drove through Utah, broke down in Reno, and got towed all the way to the coast of Northern California. And now we are here.  We live in the mountains in a cabin style house, with a garden, apples, blackberries, vegitables, no internet, no phone signal, and no car.  I sold my car today for $700, the engine is dead.  I hope to get a car soon, but who knows.  Either way, I have a place to stay, a job, food on the table, and an exciting life.

I'm at the "office" right now having a dinner party after a day of planning a big festival which is happening October 10th, 2009.

We left for this journey exactly one week ago, we never would have thought we would land in a beautiful place called Mendocino California; beach, cliffs, and mountains all in one.

Oh life, how beautiful you are.

And Jesus, you are the reason for my life.  You are life, you are love.

Thank you for reading!

Goodmonin Denver. (Parker Co to be exact)

Helllllllloooooo!!!

We are with my friend Mandy at her lovely condo where she is currently making us breakfast, what a blessing!

Yesterday was amazing!! They were having Taste of Colorado which is a food, music and arts festival.  We tried all kinds of food and listened to some good ol' country music.  They had like 4 music stages and they were all country, what the mess???  We put up our hammocks on some trees and ended getting in trouble because apparently its illegal to put up hammocks in the park.  To make things worse, we decided to get rebellious and put up our hammocks on the governmental building columns.  Before we could even get a picture, some lady told us to stop because she heard about us over her walkie talkie, I guess we were getting famous.

Rules are dumb.

Either way, we ended up going back to our car to get our instruments so we could go "busking"

Busking: Playing musical instruments on the street in an attempt to make money, and good times.

We met up with my friend Mandy and set up our stuff in a cool place in downtown Denver.  At this point we were really tired from the day but we pulled through and knew that the night would be great if we just loved people.

WE HAD THE BEST TIME!!  We met travelers from all over the country.  It's amazing how many people out there are doing the same thing that we are doing; quitting our jobs, leaving our homes, and just living life.

We played music, gave free hugs and met some amazing people.  It was so good to just give and connect with strangers. Almost everyone we met played guitar and everyone took turns jamming out.  Some guys that played were seriously good musicians!!

We spent the night at my friends house and we are so taking care of, thank you Jesus!

Next stop: Wyoming

Goodbye Kansas, Hello Colorado.

hi, how are you? I hope you are doing lovely.

The trip has been so awesome so far!  We stayed the night with a cool family who we met this morning and they were so nice and hospitable. We took showers and left to check out Kansas city missouri.  Basically, the best thing about Kansas City is IHOP. And no, not the pancake place but the International House of Prayer.  It was soo LEGIT.  24/7 worship and prayer to a Glorious God, it was so touching and inspiring. We soaked in the presense for about an hour than left to check out the city.

So the one thing we heard about Kansas City was that there were over 250 water fountains, we were stoked! So we drove, and drove, looking for these "water fountains".  We came to the conclusion that EVERYONE was lying to us and was playing  big joke on us because we could not find these dang fountains.  So we dipped out and headed towards Kansas.

Let me just say that Kansas was the most interesting state so far.......

Okay I lied.

We saw some corn fields. Then more corn fields.  And then a cow.

We did however buy an amazing bottle of home made blackberry wine, whoa, best wine ever!

We got though Kansas and landed up making it to eastern Colorado.  And now I am here, in a tent at a camp site with showers, outlets and of course Wireless Internet.  Ya, its been rough.

Tomorrow we head to Denver for some more adventure.

I love my Life.

Thank you Jesus.

1:21 am....tennessee time

its 1 20 in the morning and im laying in a big room on a big blow up mattress all by myself. i hear the sound of people chatting upstairs...its been a long but good day. we almost didnt leave because it was 5 by the time we packed the car. we said september 1st and i was pretty set about going...because i was scared to take the chance of never leaving my comfortability. its been 1 days and i already see god looking over this adventure. we landed up staying with some nice girls who love jesus, tomorrow they are gonna show us around nashville. we kinda need to do a long trip tomorrow as in 8 hours to make up time but we will see. its funny. the way things work out. the only "plan" we really had for this trip was that we are heading towards los angeles. it seems today our destiny might be leading us to northern cali where an oppertunity awaits. ha. so much for plans. i think there a bible verse or proverb out there somewhere that says...."we plan...and god laughs." tomorrow isnt promised. now. it is now. the time is now. you are now reading these words. and i thank you for that.

peace out georgia

tomorrow.

tomorrow we leave.

we leave our homes. we leave our jobs.

we leave our families. we leave our comfortable and predictable life.

to some, we might seem crazy.

we are.

but in fact, we would be more crazy to stay, and settle for a mediocre life.

adventure awaits and my heart is glad.
